My everyday makeup look

Now my everyday makeup look probably seems a bit much for some but this is how I feel most comfortable with my makeup on ( I might not wear lipstick every day though I'll admit!) also sidenote I don't actually need glasses they're purely just an accessory for me!

After I've prepped my skin (I'll do a skincare post soon) I start my makeup with Foundation, now this is a fairly new thing for me as I always struggled to find a foundation shade pale enough for my skin and of a formula that works alright with my sometimes oily skin. So I just never really used foundation before. I picked up the lightest shade of Foundation I could find in The Body Shop whilst also getting the shade adjusting drops to make the foundation lighter if needs be! I'm still getting used to blending the foundation on my skin but I'm liking the look of it recently!

I then use Barry M's Loose setting powder to set my foundation, this product works well at keeping my foundation in place although I do find it a bit messy to use!

For bronzing my face and to add some light contouring, I use The Body Shop's Honey Bronze, Bronzing powder. I love the look of the packing of this product I love bees and anything bee themed/honeycomb patterned, it also has a slight honey smell to the product which is also very lovely!

To add some colour back into my face I use Bourjois's Blush in the shade Rose de Jaspe. I love the slight shimmer that is marbled into this blush it blends well into my highlight and is just the prettiest pink shade for my skin tone.

For my eyebrows, I use Barry M's Brow Kit in the medium to dark shade (I tested out the light to medium before and it was way too light for me) It has a light brown waxy like product that I use first and then I take the darker brown powder which sticks to the previous waxy product and just fill in my brows and define them. It also has a light white powder to use as a highlight for your brow bone but I don't always use that one.

I then use Barry M's Brow gel over my eyebrows to help the products I used on my brows last and not smudge. This product works really well at keeping my brows in place all day!

Now for eyeliner, I've been loving Barry M's on point Eyeliner, I love felt tip liners as it makes life so much easier to do my eyeliner, although they do seem to dry out pretty quick! (I may have to try out some other types like liquid or gel)

And for my lashes I've been using Barry M's Showgirl mascara, the big wand helps to separate my lashes and the product really helps to lengthen my lashes!

I used a matte brown eyeshadow for this makeup look but I've been loving this Eyeshadow palette by a brand called GWA I think I got it from a bargain store for about £3 but its surprisingly good for how cheap it is! (I do have my eyes on the Too Faced sweet peach palette though, which I might treat myself to at some point)

For my highlight, I used MUA's 'Undress your skin' Highlighter, and as you can see I've been loving using this. When I first bought it did have a beautiful wave pattern on the product (which is now wearing away, sadly)

and lastly, I used this Barry M Lipstick in the shade Cranberry Red I love this colour and the product has good staying power but keep in mind this means it might stain your lips so can be a tad difficult to take off!

and that's everything! You may notice I used quite a lot of Barry M products but this isn't a sponsored post I just like their products and I like that they're cruelty free. I also posted a video of my everyday makeup on my youtube! Check it out below...

Mermaid Haul

So the other week I posted a sneak peek on my insta stories of some really cool mermaid things I picked up! And guess who forgot to actually write a post about what I got... yep it was me!

So my mum and I were on a little shopping trip to our local shopping centre and we decided to pop into a Home Bargains and low and behold we stumbled upon a Unicorn/Princess/Mermaid isle! and I probably yelped, I can imagine most people are tired and totally over these trends now, but I personally don't think I'll ever be!

It's a very small haul but I already had some similar things that Home Bargains were selling. So I picked up some makeup brushes, a Candle and an Ombre Mermaid tail blanket (which I couldn't get a decent photo of) also pictured is my mermaid scale towel but that was only here for aesthetics! If you wanted to know though, It was from TK Maxx and I got it about a year ago.

So hopefully I can get a better photo of the mermaid tail blanket at some point in the future (and maybe post it on my instagram) but you can see in the photo the beautiful ombre colours! It was only £5.99 and is the softest blanket ever!

The next thing I want to talk about are these brushes! These brushes are so beautiful and seem such good quality for the price of around £2.50 each! I haven't used them as of yet but I'm sure I'll mention how I'm getting on with them in future videos and blogs posts.

And last but not least is this candle, it was around the £3.50 mark and smells amazing! Its scent is called Ocean breeze and I can only describe it as being similar to the Hollister smell, you know the one. It has three wicks and has been burning well so I would definitely recommend!

and that's it for my small haul! Are you still into this mermaid/unicorn trend or are you over it?

Valentine's on a Budget

So if your saving up for something big or not wanting to break the bank to celebrate Valentine's with your loved one or maybe some pals, here are some easy ways to help celebrate without costing the world!

For last year's Valentine's day, it was my first time celebrating, being in a relationship so we wanted to make it special! We went for drinks and went to an arcade and went bowling, which was really lovely! But this year I'm thinking we're probably just going to chill out and watch some films at home!

Even though we're celebrating at home this year there's still a way to make it feel just as special and cute as going for a fancy romantic meal!

Now I don't know if it's the inner child in me but I LOVE making blanket forts! It's like your making a cosy little bubble closed off from the rest of the world! I used some blankets and sheets and lots of cushions and topped it off with fairy lights and bunting of course!

I also made a little snack tray up perfect for snacking on whilst chilling in a blanket fort and watching some films!

I made some cute little homemade shortbread biscuits, some cute pink valentines mocktails (these we're made some summer fruits squash, but you could always make an actual cocktail if you fancy!) and of course its not a movie night in if there's no popcorn!! Are you a sweet or salted fan? (I'm weird, like both)

Do you have any go to cheesy romantic films you like watching on Valentine's? (I'm sure we'll probably end up watching Star Wars or Game of thrones ðŸ˜‚)

I'll be posting another last minute Valentine's treat post on Valentine's Day so keep your eyes peeled for that!

My go to Skincare Products

Now for skincare I have a fairly simple routine and set of products that I love! I should probably do more but I happy with what I do for now!

My next favourite product is The Body Shop's

I don't think I've ever used a product that literally manages to make your makeup just melt off your face with such ease, and that's including stubborn waterproof makeup!

I can't recommend this cleanser more! You just use a small amount on the tips of your fingers and massage around your face and then take a warm, wet cloth to just wipe away the makeup residue and rinse face and it's as easy as that!

Fask masks wise, a fairly recent favourite of mine is LUSH's Catastrophe Cosmetic fresh face mask which I actually mentioned in a previous post

This mask is great for any breakouts or red areas on your face, whenever I've used it my skin feels ten times better and much brighter as well! Also smells amazing!

Now first off my favourite moisturiser is the

I have fairly sensitive skin and I've had problems with other moisturisers in the past so after a few years of using this moisturiser and having no reactions, I found my comfort zone in this product!

I think I'd be open to trying other products that are good for sensitive skin now as I have been using this one a while.

Now for looking after my lips I highly recommend using a lip scrub! Personally, my lips get very dry, very easily, especially in winter!
I also don't help myself with my love of matte lipsticks which are veryyy drying as well!

My personal favourtite is LUSH's

It smells like candyfloss and tastes like it too! and as it's made from all natural products, it's safe to eat so don't worry.

And last but not least my favourite lip balm, which is a bit of an odd one to be honest, as I actually found this product at a Pound store!

It's a Maybelline BabyLips but not the usual packaging I usually see in other shops and I've tried other BabyLips scents and this has to be my favourite! I find it more moisturising and lasts longer than the others.

I'm pretty sure it's cherry scented and I managed to find a store online that sells it here!

And that's my basic go to Skincare products!
If you have any recommendations for other sensitive skin products, I'd love to hear in the comments below! and If there are any extra products you love to use like toners etc!
Thanks for reading!

What I'm watching

Now while I've been put on bed rest a.k.a the best excuse to binge watch everything on Netflix, I thought I'd share what I've started watching and enjoying recently!

Now I know I'm extremely late on joining the bandwaggon here but about 3 weeks ago I finally started watching Breaking Bad, as per the very high recommendation from my lovely boyfriend James! And I've got to say although the first season seemed like a slow start, I'm really into it now!

Another classic everyone and their Dogs have probably seen and don't worry that's me included! However, I only watched random episodes whenever they aired on tv so now the whole series is available I've been loving binge-watching a few episodes either in the evening or in the morning when getting ready for work!

Now I love anything based on true historical events and I absolutely loved the ITV Drama, Victoria which was based on the life of Queen Victoria so when my Boyfriend also recommended this I was very excited to start watching this! It's beautifully shot and made and would definitley recommend!

Another recent series I've started watching with my mum is Travelers, which has a really interesting concept behind it with ideas and glimpses of what our future could be!

And Last but not least I've been absolutely loving RuPaul's Drag race! I finished season 3 a few weeks back so I've yet to pick it back up again but I have to admit the drama, the sass, the shaddeeee and of course the fabulous hair/fashion/makeup, what's not to love!

Have you got any got-to Netflix shows you've been loving recently?

Extended Crimbo limbo

Now luckily I’ve noticed from many other bloggers/vloggers/internet content creators etc I’m not the only one who’s found it difficult to get out of the post-Christmas slump! You don’t know what day it is nor time! But you blink and we’re already in February like what happened???

Personally, for me, I’ve was ill over Christmas and the beginning of January, and then my laptop had to go into the Apple hospital a.k.a needed to be repaired! and then... I got a JOB!!! I'm now working at Topshop it's all very new and exciting! and also full time! SO basically I've given myself lots of excuses to not blog when I know I could've squeezed it in.

But to be perfectly honest as much as I've procrastinated from blogging I have been struggling for Ideas and motivation to do it, but I've realised this is the perfect time for me to blog about whatever I want and see what I prefer and what works/doesn't work!

So I'm thinking about doing a post a day, They might not be the longest posts and some might have more effort put in than others but it's something I want to get into!

Now, yesterday I underwent a small procedure of having two incisions into my stomach for a camera to be inserted to see if I have a condition that has been causing me terrible random stomach pains! Sadly this procedure didn't give me any answers but has ticked off what it isn't, so that's one good thing!

I can't take very big steps when walking at the moment and I'm very sore and have been told to rest and take it easy so I might aswell get some blogging done from the kinda comfort of my bed.

Last week I shared a haul of some clothes, I got from work, over on my youtube channel if you want to check that out below!
